South Australian Field Days

This month is very busy for Emmetts South Australian Staff as we attend the Riverland Field Days, the Balaklava Show, the Yorke Peninsula Field Days, the Pinnaroo Show and others.

The Riverland Show was another great event, and we are pleased to announce we came away with an award for the display.  It was also a great opportunity to introduce the new 5R tractor from John Deere which has finally landed on Australian shores.

There are multiple reasons for Emmetts to spend the time and the effort to attend these events.

Of course the most obvious reason would be to display the machinery we sell, but it runs deeper than that.  With all of the branches across the two states, not often are there so many machines in one location to allow for side by side comparisons.  With the field days, many of the machines in stock are brought together from across the two states to allow for these comparisons.

Secondly, we are a part of the community, and it is community events like the local shows and field days bring people together.  If businesses stopped supporting local events, the financial feasibility of hosting them them would diminish, and that would be a loss for everyone.  The events are a great way to catch up with neighbors, friends, and your various advisors, to get off farm and see what is happening in the area socially and professionally.  It is also good for mental health.  Weather, pests. commodity prices, etc affect everyone in the area, and no one is alone.

So as the trucks move machinery across to the Yorke Peninsula this weekend, the Emmetts staff are all looking forward to catching up with past, current and future customers, our manufacturer reps from John Deere, Bourgault, Goldacres, MacDon etc., the teams and clubs we sponsor in the area, and anyone else who would like to pop in and say hello.
